Hi Dave,

I have shot extensively with the Nex 5n and now shoot almost exclusively with the RX100 as the take anywhere camera. At base ISO dynamic range on the RX100 is 12.4 Evs vs 12.7 Evs from the 5n. and for portraits dynamic range is just 1 stop below the 5n. I can't see a difference between the two until it comes to high ISO, of course the 5n wins there. I love the small form factor, perfect for carrying around, great lens, I wouldn't hesitate to use it for landscape if the focal range suits you, there is even a pixel advantage with the rx100. because it's tiny, holding it perfectly still might be a challenge though, i would grab a mini tripod and pack that too

hope this helps
