US post will not send camera with battery

How ironic that UPS will take your package but not USPS. When in fact UPS had a cargo plane that crash may be linked to Li-Ion batteries. However, all the incidents related to large quantity of batteries and potentially poorly packaged.

I am sure it will hurt the eBay sellers oversea who try to sell cell phone / camera batteries. On the other hand, I think surface mail (by boat or truck) is still allowed. Also there is no USPS restriction for shipping Li-Ion batteries within the US. Go figure!
