Neither of these cameras with their tiny sensors was designed to shoot over ISO800 anyway, and that is pushing it once noise and smearing starts to take over. Blaming the mediocre IQ of the G15 is not the issue, all images look equally inferior. The proof is in the pudding, or pictures in this case.
