Facing Difficulty shooting indoors with my Canon 550 D with 18-135
Nov 15, 2012

Hi guys. I had recently bought this cam-lens combo about 2 months back. I am still new to photography.

We had some get togethers at home and i was trying to shoot portraits and pics of kids playing at home. I had a lot of difficulty in getting the shots right. I couldnt set high enough shutter speed even at wide open aperture to get sharp pictures of moving subjects. Most of the pics came out blurred. Even some of the portraits shot at 135 mm came out very soft.

Am I doing something wrong? How can I improve on this? One of my friend suggested a Canon 50 mm 1.8, but i guess that lens doesnt have any zoom. So I cant just sit at one corner and zoom in and shoot close ups.

Is there something I have to do to improve?
