Not to pick nits, but it's just about 1-1/3 stops slower. Stops go 4 - 2.8 - 2 - 1.4

1.7 is not even 1/2 a stop from f2.0. Given how loosely lens specs are labeled these days there's really no working difference between f1.7 and f1.8.

I'm not Sigma fan, but fact do matter.
