Thats about right. I just got back from the mall in Bangkok and one of the Chinese shops were selling the body's just under that. A good deal for me. I can look and check it out before buying. They fly to Hong Kong and pick up a suit case full of cameras and fly back to Thailand and avoid the VAT. Sweet deal really. Even if you have problems and have to pay for a fix it is cheap here. MUch cheaper here than the U.S. where I am from. I had my cameras and lenses checked and calibrated here. First class service.
