G1X - Just a few from the Cairngorms NP in Scotland

I visited Scotland with my kids this summer and we sampled more than a few national parks and castles. I took only my G1X and left the DSLR at home. Here's three from the Cairngorms Range - a stark, bleak, moorland range in Eastern Scotland. We drove through them dodging drab weather and very variable light.
I shot 'L' sized jpegs and left the camera with DR200 operating most of the time. They were about 4mb images, but I downsized them on export. They're straight OOC (no PP at all). CC welcome.
1. A Cairngorm Valley - 38mm, ISO 400, 1/500, f5.6. Distant moorland landscapes don't offer much detail - but the camera has held the detail of the grasses, heather and other plants quite well. I'm quite happy with the G1X lens.

2. Corgarff Castle - 15mm, ISO 400, 1/1250, f5.6.

3. Castle Courtyard - 15mm, ISO 1250, 1/1600, f16. I think I probably increased the ISO for an interior shot and inadvertently left it up at 1250 - I would never have chosen that ISO in such a bright setting. In any case, f16 has still delivered a reasonable result. (I've always wanted to do some photography amongst those famous white buildings in Santorini in Greece..... I didn't expect the same challenge in Scotland!:-)

Cheers, Rod
