Bhphoto delivery policy compared to other vendors

Ok.
I am starting this page to compare notes and hopefully Henry something or other will read this.
I live on Long Island. Bh deliveries are easy, just one day after items are shipped.
However, if item is big ticket, they required a signature. No problemo.
A big but here folks. Once I'm sent the tracking number, I can't request a hold at nearby UPS facilities so that I can pick up the items. Why? Because the shipper, BhPhoto, does not allow this.
I have to have a delivery attempt, then I can call UPS, and see if Bhphoto allows a hold after one delivery attempt.
Is this insane? Worse case, I can wait three failed delivery attempts at my home and then go to hold facility to pick it up.
I got all this from the UPS customer service person. This restriction is something that the shipper has selected, NOT a ilmitation of UPS.
Compared this with Cameta, Amazon, KEH, I can request a hold BEFORE first attempt, show up at the facility, tell them my tracking number and Driver License to prove my identityh and that I live at the shipping address.
Come on Bh, I haven't bought a big ticket item from you lately and so I decided to spread the wealth but if this is how you want to make it more difficult for your customers, I'm going to take it back to other vendors.
