I really don't see how it could be IR, if the light source is shielded from/behind the camera.
A further check - try taking a few 'dark frame' shots around the same ISO and shutter speed (i.e. manually set ISO1600, 1/4s) but in a dark room with a lens cap/cover on.
If the same problem shows up in total darkness, then it could be a defect in the sensor.
I can see the same 'violet streak' across this photo you posted in an earlier thread...
...in the same position in the frame...
...I strongly suspect there is an issue with the sensor.
