Why do people talk about "upgrading" the A77 to A99? They're different beasts. I'm quite happy with APS-C. Fewer lenses needed - CZ16-80 (5x zoom) is more than you'll get on a comparable FF zoom. Yes, there are times I'd like the greater OOF blur on a FF camera, but there are also times when I appreciate the greater DOF you get with APS-C. In normal light, or in the studio, the A77 turns in virtually noiseless very good images. Whn i have to use low light, yes - there's what appears a lot of noise when pixel-peeping, but printing up to A4 or so (which is all I do for most shots), the quality is excellent up to about 3200. Maybe if I had unlimited finance, I would like to try FF, butit really is "horses for courses". The Range Rover may be a lovely vehicle, but it's maybe not the ideal city car!
