Status of Canon's SX230 HS for Grand Canyon?

Where do you folks place this camera in a grouping of Canon's better quality P&S cameras?

I'm looking for a GOOD P&S for an upcoming trip.  (I have another thread addressing this in a slightly different way.)  I have the SX230, and it seems OK.  But will it deliver the goods almost as well as any other GOOD camera for, let's say, Grand Canyon?  Thanks for your comments.
