Affordable Studio Lighting Suggestions

I do have a shoe mount flash that I am very familiar with. I also have had a setup I use as a travel studio kit (2 umbrellas with slave lighting, and of course a backdrop setup) that I got a couple of years ago. HOWEVER, the slave flashes,  I just do not like them that much, personal preference I'm thinking. They were fairly inexpensive... Around 350 for the set.  I would just prefer a continuous light, rather than the slave lights that only go off when my external fires. It is handy, and it gets the job done, but I am wanting to upgrade. I will check out the link. Thank you.
