Refurbished Nikon camera & lenses

Since I've bought many mint, used lenses and bodies for outstanding savings, I've never considered refurbished. However, my understanding from listening to others' experiences is that it's a good option.

Reason being that when returned for an issue those items may receive more individual attention and be more thoroughly and carefully examined than when they were leaving the assembly line at the factory.
