Yeah, you're right with the downsampling and judging sharpness. But hes, to be honest hom amany of us print their millions and million of pix on paper bigger than 30x45 cm? Me not, and for this size I see now difference to my nice sigma 17-50, 2.8 is. By the way I also had first the Tammy 17-50 and changed it against the sigma cause the difference was really significantly visibil, even in normal size on the screen of the camera.
