A gear question: Summicron 28mm ASPH

I had this lens but swapped it because of the red edge issue and also because of distortion. For me red edges were a problem at wide apertures in scenes of high contrast.

It is undoubtably a very interesting lens and to be honest I miss it - particularly for street photography. If you can find a version that does not red edge - get one. The distortion thing will unlikely not be a big deal and this can be corrected. The red edge thing is a bigger problem - I could not put up with 'Cornerfix'.

I'd be very interested to know if an M10 would display similar problems, perhaps something to look into.....
