Affordable Studio Lighting Suggestions

I started and have been primarily an on location photographer for weddings, and family pictures in fields etc... However I am considering doing small studio in home for my newborns and in instances when it is just to cold for kids out doors, or when a family would just like some classic in studio pictures. Honestly there are so many options I was hoping for some advice. Perhaps in tiers such as MUST have basics... and IF you could afford to add this too suggestions.
