Lucy Kaplansky in Concert

As soon as she took her position at the mic, I wanted to have a word with the lighting guy. Lucy has deep set eyes: they positioned her mic directly under a flood. Not the most flattering lighting. I would have preferred her about 2 feet further upstage, but then I'm just the house photographer. LOL

I did what I could in regards to timing captures for when she had her head tilted back in order to fill in the shadows in order to offer a more flattering image of this excellent singer/songwriter. Here's one I consider a more successful attempt. Still working on a few to try to lessen the shadows in her eye sockets.
