Preventing popup flash from popping up

I have never had the flash pop up on me with with my D100, D200, or now with my D800.  I can't deny that it doesn't happen to you frequently.  But as others have suggested I would be looking to see what it is about your camera bag and how you pack that's causing this to happen so frequently.
