I'm not bothered by what people think of my cameras, maybe because I know they're better than any "they" have...  

Anaway, I always cover brand names and other visible lettering with gaffer's tape so that the camera is less noticable (and hide any names on straps which may have them). I also do that to my film Leicas (red dot? what red dot?).

A mystery camera which looks like junk is a better thing to carry around and real conosseurs will recognize & admire it anyway.
