Taurus is correct.  Although inkjet printers are CMYK devices, they are treated by Windows & OS-X as RGB devices, primarily because Windows & OS-X can only handle RGB devices.  The printer driver handles the RGB to CMYK conversion.  To actually print in CMYK requires a RIP (Raster Image Processor).
