New patent from Nikon (55-300 f:2.8-4)

According to nikonrumors, Nikon filed a new patent in Japan for 55-300 f:2.8-4 tele zoom lens for FX. It sounds like replacement of old 70-300 series or cheaper alternative to 70-200 VR f:4 and f:2.8 series.

They got the patent for 70-200 VR f:4 on almost 1 year ago. Maybe next year we might have this lens in our bags?I am soo excited
