K-5 IIs vs K-5 II - can you tell the difference?

I just checked out the 2 new images and on my home computer (better screen) and the differences are still there. looking at them at screen size, the differences aren't as apparent as when they're blown up to 100%. I checked at 100% and, for example, looking at the queen's face, the ink dots making up her facial features look kind of smoothed over on the II, but on the IIs they kid of jump out at you, bringing a richer color overall.

Pixel peeping really brings out the sharpness of the IIs too (check green and blue feather tips, Martini bottle cap writing etc). It may be that the finer detail of the edges makes the colors appear deeper because there is a sharper difference between contrasty colors like white and red. It may be an optical illusion. Does that even make sense? I dunno. Just going by what my eyes are telling me.
