Absolutely!  I have the AT-X Pro 28-80 f2.8 and it performs very well. It always back-focused on my D200 and F100. It required +11 fine focus and now it is very sharp at f4 and and not bad at f2.8. It focuses very fast and balances nicely. It has become my main lens.
