Here are the AF fine tune results

I ran the tests in Reikan FoCal, using different shooting apertures.

Test Aperture f/1.4; recommendation to use AF fine tune +1.

Test Aperture f/2.8; recommendation to use AF fine tune = -15.

Test Aperture f/4.0; recommendation to use AF fine tune = -23 (closest I could get is -20).

I don't have any quarrel with those curve fits. I can definitely confirm that this particular lens does not deliver in-focus images when shooting at f/4, 5.6, or 8 and using an AF fine tune of either 0 or +1, on my D800. Five other lenses I've calibrated on that body range between +6 and -11.

So that's why I was wondering if Nikon happens to have implemented a multi-point AF offset table inside their AFS lenses. Certainly this particular lens could benefit.
