SoCal Options?

My CA trips revolve around Tehachapi, as I have family there temporarily.  I have done the Tehachapi Loop and points east (Mojave, the wind farm, Boron, one trip to Barstow, etc.) several times and am looking to branch out.  On one of these trips, I got some interesting shots at Harper Dry Lake (between Kramer Jct and Barstow), see below.

It sounds like from your post that I need to do the piece from Bakersfield into Tehachapi.
