Old ground I'm sure, but the D800 and high ISO is impressive

I was taking pictures at my nephew's birthday and the light was, of course, quite dim. This left my camera in the position of shooting at the very end of the ISO range. Now, coming from the Pentax K-5, I don't really hesitate to shoot extreme high ISO, but I was still surprised by the outcome:

Now, I used Topaz Denoise and it's scaled down, but the remaining detail is still impressive. I did similar with the K-5:

That shot help to convince Mike Johnson from TOP to buy a K-5 back in the day. That was ISO 20000, and I thought detail retention on that was impressive, which it is, but whew, the D800 exceeds it. That's no mean feat.
