There is a download utility called Downloader Pro. It lets you put in folder and file names metadata characters (symbols) that will pull various parameters plus a job description you enter.

One set of symbols is described as:

{K1} Lens focal length in mm e.g. 28

{K2} Aperture e.g. 5.6

{K3} Shutter speed e.g. 125 for 1/125 sec

Which will put in the FL, Av, and/or Tv in your folder or file name as the files are downloaded from your camera USB port or card reader or other source. If these can identify your lens by parameters that may be your solution.

I did not catch a lens ID symbol. I use it to insert the actual date-timestamp (capture time) from the embedded data plus description I enter and the camera model into the folder and/or file names.

Check for compatibility here:

It is $30 and there is a trial version available. Check out the examples in the help file (.chm) after downloading the trial.
