I think that dpreview did the right thing by testing this issue as part of the review. I am also in total agreement that this issue is not impacting all users equally. I still stand behind my statement that most people would not have an issue unless they go looking for it. The normal process is to place test units out in the field and I would certainly think that nikon would have known about this issue during field testing unless the people doing the test did not have access to these reports of dust and never went looking for it which brings me back to my intial point. I am not saying no one has an issue but some cases may be enchanced because of web reports. I am very reluctant to have faith in a solid solution from nikon for the people that are impacted by this issue.
