primes to replace holy trinity

The right answer is influenced by what camera you have.   The D700 is more optically forgiving than the D800.   I have the D800E and I can see a subtle difference between even the best zooms and good primes.   I have the 24-70 but find I'm using mainly 24G, 35/1.4G, 85/1.8G, 200G.
