Portrait lighting images

My lighting kit is currently cobbled together from bits and pieces. 1 Impact 100ws strobe, 1 SB900 3 SB600s, Yonhnuo 602 ebay triggers and some inexpensive mofifiers. I also have a super cheap light meter that sometimes works.

For these shots, I used a 48" Fotodiox Octobox mounted on the impact strobe for my key light, an SB900 mounted in a CowboyStudio 24" folding softbox for a hair light and a 33x42 reflector for fill.

In a few shots (not shown) I used an SB600 with a grid as a BG light to give a kind of spotlight effect.

My life would be simpler with better equipment but this mix-and-match setup got the job done.
