DRAFTING FILM from a drawing office is better than any cloth. It is smooth and virtually texture free, and can be used even for photographing chrome or mirrors without any "weave" becoming visible.

If you buy DRAFTING FILM by the roll you can use it as a backdrop. Pulled down across a glass-topped table it can be back-illuminated too, with hotspot 'cuddling" around the subject that looks great!
