A99: Backlit Elf owl face

Close to the same, I think. The A99 will show better fine detail due to the new sensor. The much improved autofocus system will also be helpful, and so the possibility for ultra-precise manual focus check and correction.

For medium shutter speeds the A99 will also do better, due to the fact that there is no moving mirror, and there is no first shutter curtain that generates micro vibration, which matters for critical real world photography with long lenses.

Also, you don't have the fun of using the A99!
