Nex-6 + 55-210mm Focus "Testing"

I say "testing" loosely since I wouldn't have the faintest idea of how to do it scientifically, but I can compare my experience against my previous outings with my Nex-C3. I tend to use multi-spot focusing, sound advice that I picked up from people here. Compared to the C3, the AF speed has certainly improved dramatically. I had a much easier time locating targets at 50mm, and zooming into the long end while maintaining focus. No more crazy in-out focusing and waiting the achingly long 2-3 seconds for the image to blur, blur some more and finally settle in on the correct focal distance for the bird's position half a second ago.
A small portion, maybe 25% of my aerial bird-chasing shots were out of focus, the sort you get when you're being impatient, but otherwise, here are some of my keepers. (SOOC, vivid style, autoISO, auto whitebalance) And while I own a sigma 150-500 OS, the 55-210 is so much more portable, and I can use my other hand to hold a freezing cold drink as I camp in the sun.

Slightly better capture of the egret.
Not the birds I was looking for.

edit: clarity.
