RX100 ISO 3200 handheld

Here are a two pictures I took with the RX100 @ ISO 3200. Overall I'm quite pleased by the high ISO performance of this little camera.

Hightlights are a bit problematic if you shoot wide open. Are there any strategies to prevent this

ugly halos apart from stopping down, which inevitably makes shooting handheld almost

impossible?

I`m not familiar with all the bells and whistles the RX100 offers, but I´m looking forward to learn more about the best handling for different situations.
