I assume "ph" mean per hour?
$40/hour to shoot with your own gear isn't too far off what I'd expect and often see $25 for low end shooting (as in wedding assistant vs primary on a wedding) or sports leagues, etc. I pay my employees $15/hr to shoot with my gear.
As for processing I pay $10-12 when they use my computer/software/office.
I know a few photogs and bella and davids and other 'big' companies that pay a flat fee and want processed images as the end result. Overall hourly rate would work out to $20-30 an hour depending on how much processing you do.
I know at least 2 newbie wedding photogs that do NO processing - shoot and burn is a perfect description of what they do - shoot it, burn every file as-is to the disk and hand that over. To them deleting 'bad' images is cheating the client of what they paid for. Hey- it's the new mentality I suppose.
So shoot well and cull in -camera if you can and spend 2 hours processing and charge them for 5.
