P510: AF zooms past focus?

Hi Henry -

I've only had it six weeks, and recently read about "breaking in.."  I think that will help, because the zoom sometimes seems noisy, sometimes not.  But I think my focusing issues aren't mechanical, but user error:  I was violating the combo of focal length and focusing distance

That tells me enough that the better picture isn't going to come from the FZ200 as long as I am behind the camera!   I wish I could find one to look at though....
