Playing with Tamron 90 macro and D5100 [image]

I have the same lens and DOF is important, I often use high f numbers to keep as much in focus as possible.  I have had some really good results using reflectors for this kind of shot.  Alfoil, white paper, mirrors etc. to direct more light into the subject, brings out the color and lets you get your shutter speed up a bit.  Often flowers outside are moving with the breeze.

A nice shot but now you have this lens there are some real crackers not far away
