Light Globe Flare

Hi,
Been messing about with an incandescent light globe. Nikon D90, Sigma f2.8, 17-70mm macro.
Broke the globe and carefully screwed it back into the lampholder. OS system off, manual f22 at 1/500sec. Took original exposure readings in 'spot' but it seemed a bit dark so slowed shutter speed down with a working globe as sample until reasonable spread over the histogram.
Set the shutter to max FPS, manual focus, pressed and hold shutter button while turning on power to the globe.
About 2 seconds of action from warm glow, flare with smoke burst, flare with smoke stream and finally the afterglow.
The photo includes a red filter effect, the original is a bit grey and uninteresting.
Comments and ideas welcome.
