Very disappointing news regarding RX1 focus peaking.

I went to Sony's showroom in Ginza last Sunday to check out the RX1 (which I have pre-ordered) and noticed that unlike the Nex series, focus peaking on the RX1 is only activated when manual focus magnification assist is turned on.

I asked the shop staff whether it was because the RX1 in the showroom was a pre-production non final version, and the shop staff said people have been asking that but they haven't been able to get confirmation about whether it was to be how it is in the final release.

Today, the staff emailed me and said after confirming with HQ, and says that focus peaking on RX1 can only be used when in magnification assist mode.

I am seriously disappointed with this obvious design flaw and am thinking of canceling my pre-order. Has anyone heard anything different about this issue?

マニュアルフォーカス時のピーキング機能についてですが、

残念ながら、RX1は「MFアシストON」に設定し、ピント拡大をしないと使用できません。

坂本様もご存知の通り、他機種ではピント拡大をしなくても使用できるのですが、

RX1はそのような仕様になっているそうです。

ご予約いただいたにも関わらず、ご期待に添えない仕様で大変申し訳ございません。
