27T, if you don't want to export your jpegs full size, in the Lightroom export settings there is a setting you could change to export them at a smaller size.  You have to know how small you want them to be. If you go to file export then scroll down to image sizing; you will be able to change the size of file you will be exporting to the web or a hard drive.  I usually change the export size to 1200 for the long side to export to my web hosting site.  Which is usually large enough for most monitors. Or I'll export them at full size jpegs to a folder on my hard drive,then shrink them to the same size with IrfanView then export them from that folder.  Rarely do I upload to my hosting site at full jpeg sizes.
