.... the blue button right on the left side of the print held head. Push it to unlock the head ..... it's used to replace the cutter. Look in the manual for the cutter replacement.

Actually never had a 9600.  Had a 4000, 7880, 9880 & I just sold my 64" 11880 & bought a 9900 & 3880 to replace it. Love them both   11880 would not do 10x7 greeting card stock ..... 9900 won't :(, that's why I have the 3880.
