Camera Advise

I have a dilemma and need some advise. Im currently shooting a Canon 1D MK III and frankly never been happy with it. From the start it had the focusing issues that had to be repaired. I have a gut feeling that something is wrong with the camera. The images are not as good as my 7D, and I always find something wrong with them. Soft colors, ect. Maybe i dont have or ever had confidence with the MKiii. I was just given the green light from my wife to buy a new camera. I am leading toward the 5d III. Is there any chance of a 1D mk 5, or is the X the only "big" camera around these days. I love shooting pics but I dont enjoy shooting the MKiii. Is this normal, any suggestions or advise? Note: I only shoot "L" glass, with 600ex flashes.
