Progress as shown by the EPL5 yesterday

Of curse it would be nice if I had pcis from a soccermatch or so. I only have these boring pics, which I did not precisely test this yesterday. Cars are nice objects as they move fast.

I know Oly says that burstmode does not allow for CAF-TR Tracking. But that is the setting used here, 3 fps, and it worked.

These were just testshots how it would focus on a really fastmoving subject (thiscar was at 15 m/s so about 55 km/h). Moreover: CDAF has problems with cars coming towards you or moving away from you. It will focus when things fligh more or less by.

Here we can see the car is in focus, parts in front or behind it are not in focus.

Things are getting better, because EPL5 is better here than my GH2. G5 is likely better than GH2 too.

It is not all rosey, because sometimes it lose sfocus for a shot or two and sometimes the focus is compeltely wrong.

But I think PDAF is not needed in the future, besides PDAF AFAIK is only succesfull on the Nikon1.
