I'm a little confused by your terminology. You say it works great but there are lines on the display and blame the CCD. Is the camera able to take pictures or is it just the display on the back of the camera? If the camera is able to take pictures and save them to the SD card then I doubt it is the CCD sensor. I had a similar situation on my K5 (CMOS sensor) and I had to take out the battery to reset the camera. After much troubleshooting, I determined I had a SDHC card going bad. Replaced the card and haven't had a problem.
