Teleconverter for Nikkor Lens

I just scanned the forum but failed to find specific data.  I  am looking for a teleconverter recommendation to work with my older AF Nikkor "ED" lens.  It happens to be a 70-300 zoom.

I would like to double the focal length for some special shots.

Any recommendation will be appreciated.
