Yep, it definitely signals the end of flash photography. All those folks who work in their studios with specifically placed creative lighting are going to sell their flash gear, and probably move to other facilities with big windows on all sides. People who use flash for ultra-fast action stopping are going to begin shooting everything at ISO 25,600 or higher now. Other people who like flash for filling in shadows in ambient light are going to carry around big reflectors to hold up instead. Kinda sad, but flash is simply obsolete after the A99.
