I don't know why you only directed your question at owners, are they the only ones qualified to that opinion?

Clean ISO 12800 pictures by no means spell the end of flash photography because most likely you are shooting close to wide open aperture and barely hand holdable shutter speed. It does open all sorts of possibilities for available light pictures but most of the time you will be at the mercy of that light source and chances are, it might not light the subject the way you want.
