Actually the Sony OLED EVF is no OLED Display... It's just a LCD with white OLED backlight instead of normal LED backlight or CCFL backlight...

The pixels aren't "driven" or something, the power is consumed by the backlight... It could be, that the EVF Backlight has to be brighter because the pixel-grid is finer, but the rear-LCD has to illuminate a much bigger surface... I would guess, that the rear-LCD consumes more power, we could only know if we test it...

Question: Since the 6 and the 5R got microUSB for charging the battery, can you power the camera via microUSB without holding a battery? In this case you could easily measure the power consumed by the camera...
