When I was thinking about this I had in mind the DPM2 mainly because of the quality of files and lack of "Warping" needed because of the quality of the lens. I was not thinking macro work here mostly subjects at least 10 feet away. I guess the per pixel sharpness drop off would be away from the center of the image? If that is so you can compose your shots accordingly. If close up was needed you could compose the image with one of the cameras being mostly out of focus bokeh right?
