ipad mini alternatives for photographer ? help...

I tried the ipad mini at Apple...and the resolution of my images was so pathetic...it turned me off.

What is the best alternative ?  anyone help ??  thx.

I like:

1. small size of the mini...perfect size for my plans.

2. apple ..since it would be easier to learn , similiar to my iphone.

3.  I was planning to also use it as backup storage for travel photo shoots...and would have bought the 64meg version...until I saw that the resolution seemed like a child's toy.  Sheesh, shoot with a 20 meg cam...for great IQ, and then this  very low IQ on the mini ?   pain...
